Two weeks ago, we organized a twitterparty to celebrate its first debut, and one of the questions that popped-up was: “How do you make food a priority in your life?” Ten years ago, this question will not worry me; however things have changed since then… to the better, of course. Both Frederick and I have been watching our calories intake and eating less or minimal sugar. It’s tough, especially since we both like bubble tea and ice cream so much. It has been very difficult to tame our tongue of the habit. To balance that, we’ve been drinking freshly squeezed fruit juice every morning. Often, we’ll add some oatmeal to create a smoothie, substituting our carbs intake for breakfast. It works and we feel healthier than before.
As we tried to eat less sugary stuff, we also had learned to replace our cravings for ice cream with other delicious but healthy treats. One of our favorites is this chocolate avocado pudding. It’s silky, smooth, and… wait for the best part… it’s gluten-free, too.
